Thank Goodness It’s Friday – TGIF

Thank Goodness It s Friday TGIF TGIF Thank Goodness It s Friday TGIF has become the mantra of the everyday working folks.  Our lives are wished away during the week so we can get to the weekends as quick as possible. We have become a society of people who hate the weekdays and live for those almighty 2 days called the WEEKEND!  Doesn t it just seem so unbalanced that we spend 5 days out of 7 working and only 2 days with our families and doing those things that really make live great. I can t tell you how many times I ve had the conversation concerning how much someone doesn t like their JOB and wish they could do something that would give them what they need to replace the JOB and spend more time with family or doing what they have a passion for. So TGIF becomes the thing that most people live for, those 2 DAYS OFF!  Does this seem wrong to you, or is it just me.  I think there is a better way, a way that we can have the things in life we desire, help the people we want to, and ha

How to add a Signature Block to your Post This is going to be a purely technical post.  How many of you have tried so my times to put a great signature block or any signature block at the end of your blog posts without having to copy and paste or type it in. This is going to short but very informative so that you can place a signature block at the end of all of your posts. So how do you do this, well first you need to download the insertpages plugin for WordPress. Once you have downloaded the plugin, install it, and activate the plugin.  That s all there is to the plugin installation. Signature Block Category Next you will want to create a new post with just your signature as you want it to appear on your posts.  What I have done is create a category named Signature don t show and that is where I keep all of my signature files.  This allows me to have different ones for different types of post s if I choose to. Once you have installed the plugin and activated it you will have a bu

Keep It Simple Stupid!

Keep It Simple Stupid! Keep It Simple Stupid I will keep this short this morning but I wanted to chat real quick about the philosophy of Keep It Simple Stupid.  Now don t twist this around and say I m calling people Stupid .the principle here is that to make something complicated for the sake of making it complicated is not such a smart IDEA or just Stupid, not the person. Now with that out of the way let s go into a little about the K.I.S.S. principle or Keep It Simple Stupid. I know you have all heard this principle toss around over the years, and probably thought yeah that a cliche but complexity makes things much better because the end up with more value and a stronger business. Well I m here to tell you that the K.I.S.S. principle is exactly what the Network Marketing profession NEEDS!  I can t tell you how many times I have sat down with some teammates and listened to some new fangled way to reinvent the wheel.  The only difference being that this new and approved method is

The Meaning of Christmas

The Meaning of Christmas The Birth of Christ I m in my 60 s now and throughout the years of my life Christmas has become more and more commercial.  We have set aside the True Meaning of Christmas for all the gifts and sales that we can make.  Well this Christmas I want to talk briefly about the TRUE Meaning of Christmas. Christmas began with the Birth of Jesus Christ, not Santa Claus.  Most Biblical scholars will tell you that Christ was actually born in the Fall of the year not December but that s okay too. There are many websites out there explaining this and how we started celebrating Christmas on December 25th.  Regardless of when Christ was born that fact is that He was and that Christmas is a celebration of the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.  Somewhere along the way mankind decided to add Santa Claus to the mix and the giving of presents and then it eventually became big business. We have raised our children not only to understand that Christmas is a time for getting pre

Teaching Your Team to BE TEACHERS!

Teaching your Team to Be Teachers. Teach Your Team to Be Teachers This is what will unshackle you from the normal team building where your team sees you as the only place to get ALL Their ANSWERS!  You will never have a walk away from business if you are the only one that knows everything. This used to be my biggest challenge.  My personality is such that the more I know about a system, program or just about anything that I m involved with, the better I feel. Because of that, the first thing I would always do when I join a Network Marketing company was to learn everything I could about everything. Here s a few of the challenges with doing that.   These are also the reasons why you want to teach your team to be teachers. It caused me to have a bad disease called paralysis from analysis something that can be catchy if your team thinks they have to do what you have done before they start prospecting. Your are certainly not duplicatable!  This poses a number of problems with recruitin

5 Qualities of a Leader That Inspires

5 Qualities of a Leader That Inspires Ever wonder why some people are just inspirational leaders.  I love what John Maxwell lays out as the 5 Qualities of a Leader that Inspires.  Leaders are people who LEAD, Inspirational Leaders inspire others and build more Leaders. I hope after reading this you will choose to strive to be an inspirational leader not just a manager of people.  No manager will ever be great.  Managers don t create more managers they just delegate and sit back an take the credit. At the end of the day Leaders are built by other great Leaders and the Qualities of a Leader are what we want to develop. ATTITUDE OF SERVICE To be an inspirational leader, you must adopt an attitude of service toward those you lead. This requires laying aside selfish interests to add value to another person. In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of
